Welcome to the Maniototo Area School website.

My name is David Hunter and I am proud to be the Principal of the Maniototo Area School.

Our school offers a unique, holistic approach to education, where students are given opportunities to excel in academic, social, sporting and cultural settings.

Through technology we are now able to offer a wide range of senior classes.

The extensive Distance Learning Network allows our students to explore a variety of subject options. From the traditional academic courses to specifically designed vocational pathways. This individualisation and self management sets our students up nicely for their future endeavours.

Today’s learners need to be empowered and motivated. Our school provides a springboard for young people to realise and reach their potential. The skills and competencies our students acquire during their time at Maniototo are imperative for the learning challenges they may face in the future.
